Castfold

Integrations

Castfold connects with tools that deliver channels or finished videos into your account. The connection runs through "Connect with Castfold": you start it in the partner app, sign in to Castfold and approve the access. There you choose which channels the app may use – all of them, including future ones, or only selected ones – and can change that any time in your settings under "Integrations"; the app sees the change immediately. You can also revoke access completely there, any time – no credentials are ever shared.

Questions about integrations

What are Castfold integrations?

Integrations are partner tools that connect to your Castfold account and deliver channels or finished videos. The first partner is Klickdemo, which creates AI explainer videos from your web app or website in 40+ languages – like Castfold, a Droidtech e.K. product. When a partner app delivers the same video in several languages, the language versions belong together – they fill in each other's title and description in the other languages and link to each other in the description (“English: https://youtu.be/…”), even when they are published days apart. You'll find more integrations on the integrations page.

How do I connect a partner app to Castfold?

Through "Connect with Castfold" – you click it in the partner app, sign in to Castfold (or create an account) and approve what the app may do, for example see channels, upload and publish videos, and see their status. You can optionally allow only certain channels instead of all of them. The partner app gets no password and no Google access, only its own access key, which you can revoke any time.

How do I revoke a connected app's access?

In Castfold under Settings → Integrations you revoke its access with one click on its card. The same works the other way round, directly in the partner app under "Disconnect". Either way takes effect immediately.

Can I change afterwards which channels a connected app may access?

Yes. Under Settings → Integrations you can switch, on the app's card, any time between "All channels, including future ones" and individually selected channels. The app sees the change immediately. You can still revoke access completely, independently of this.

Does a video cost extra when it comes from a partner app?

Not on Castfold's side. Videos from a partner app go through the same scheduling and publishing as your own uploads and only cost what your channel subscription costs anyway. The partner app bills its own services – with Klickdemo, creating the explainer video – separately, on its own.

I'm building a tool myself – how do I become a partner?

You connect your tool through the machine API and "Connect with Castfold"; your customers connect once, and after that your tool hands scheduling and publishing off automatically. You'll find the contact for this on the partners page.
